About

Yoshi Takahashi came to Australia in 1999 from Japan. He studied ceramics at Hornsby College of Ceramics & Fine Arts. There he found his passion in ceramics art. It was the beginning of his journey in the Art World.

Since joining the National Art School in Sydney, his interests broadened and he majored in painting. During this time, he investigated paintings and three-dimensional objects, which lead him to another realm - installation.

These three areas of arts are feeding each other and help him to grow new idea as an artist. His ideas are also based on the Japanese aesthetic of imperfection, impermanence, simplicity, and tranquility, which are key elements in his works.

In 2020, he has moved to Brisbane to set up his art studio and resumed art practice to pursue his dream as an artist.
